SMAKDOWN!
First some history-
Smakdown started many moons ago down at my dads shop. It was me John Garrison, Eric Howton, Paul Adair and another guy. We showed up and started setting up tables and chairs and computers. We had no idea that the concept of SMAKAGE was about to be born.
The Game of chose was Starcraft with the Broadwar expansion. We also played Descent. all I can say is WOW!! I really wish I had taken some pictures. It was soo cool. We went for serveral hours.
The next SMAKDOWN was at Eric Howtons joint on Rinde in Irving. It wazs there that I finally got to meet Tony HALSEL! The game of choice this time was DIABLO II with Erics custom CD. Ohh man... The food, The beer, the SMAKAGE! I was so wasted I really don't remember who was there. I remember getting to sleep on Eric's cot in the baby room, and somebody bringing a Sparc20. Past that, my memory is foggy ;)
The next SMAKDOWN was at Jay's new house on Buckeye Dr. in Flower Mound. Eric, Jesse, Paul and myself were the main SMAKERS. We had a very rocky road right from the beginning. Erics computer was a raging pile of shit. It didn't want to boot. ME was pissed as hell when it finally did boot and then the real fun was just getting started. With ehowton MIA from TX. It looks like the only Smakage will be virtual. I have FioS sporting a healthy 2Mb uplink and 15Mb downlink do it might be possible.
